Welcome to the Grace Mission Center

Dangerous real life situations face the children of this area everyday as they walk to and from school. Few children venture out of their homes in the evenings. They are literally prisoners of their homes with nowhere to go locally for homework help or other meaningful after school programs; television and video games have become their playmates. The Grace Mission Center, with the help of area churches, proposes to provide a variety of programs that will help these children and their families grow, while exposing them to the love of Christ. Our hope is to compliment other organizations that are already in place in this area and become an integral part of the community. From a bookstore that will offer classes for computer training and employability skills, to Bible studies and tutoring programs for the children, we are committed to providing a safe place just to come and talk. Our hope is to equip urban families to acquire the skills that they need to emerge from poverty's grip. With help from the corporate world and individual volunteers, we hope to have all our programs incentive based, as we believe that people do not need a "handout".
