Discussion Night
This week’s film discussion: Daughters
Four young girls prepare for a special Daddy/Daughter Dance with their incarcerated fathers as part of a unique fatherhood program in a Washington, D.C. jail.
Lent is a season of slowing down, paying attention, and making space for reflection – but it’s also a season we walk through together. In our Movies for Lent series, we gather on select Mondays to watch a movie as a community and enjoy a shared story on the big screen.
This week, we’ll meet again for a casual discussion about last week’s film. These nights are less about having the “right” answers and more about sharing reactions, ideas, and questions that came up along the way.
Whether the movie made you laugh, think, or just kept you entertained, your perspective matters. We’ll use a few guiding questions to help the conversation flow and see how the story connects–sometimes loosely, sometimes surprisingly–to faith, life, and the season of Lent.
We’ll gather in the Sanctuary at Village Grace to discuss together.
