Discussion: Knives Out, Wake Up Dead Man (2025)

Discussion Night

This week’s film discussion: Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man

Detective Benoit Blanc teams up with an earnest young priest to investigate a perfectly impossible crime at a small-town church with a dark history.

Lent is a season of slowing down, paying attention, and making space for reflection – but it’s also a season we walk through together. In our Movies for Lent series, we gather on select Mondays to watch a movie as a community and enjoy a shared story on the big screen.

This week, we’ll meet again for a casual discussion about last week’s film. These nights are less about having the “right” answers and more about sharing reactions, ideas, and questions that came up along the way.

Whether the movie made you laugh, think, or just kept you entertained, your perspective matters. We’ll use a few guiding questions to help the conversation flow and see how the story connects–sometimes loosely, sometimes surprisingly–to faith, life, and the season of Lent.

We’ll gather in the Library at Village Grace to discuss together.
