Movies for Lent: Where Olive Trees Weep (2024)

Movie Night

Lent is a season of slowing down, paying attention, and making space for reflection – but it’s also a season we walk through together. In our Movies for Lent series, we gather on select Mondays to watch a movie as a community and enjoy a shared story on the big screen.

Each film night is followed by a discussion the next week, where we’ll come back together to talk about the movie, share reactions, and explore any themes or questions that came up. No prep required – just come as you are, watch together, and join the conversation when it fits for you.

We’ll gather in the Library at Village Grace to watch together. Cozy clothes and movie snacks encouraged!

This week’s film: Where Olive Trees Weep

Where Olive Trees Weep offers a searing window into the struggles and resilience of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation. It explores themes of loss, trauma, and the quest for justice.
